Integrative Medicine · Chicago

Your body and mind are not separate. We treat them together.

Twin Village Health is an integrative medical practice founded by twin physicians — a Family Medicine doctor and a Psychiatrist — who left the system to build something better. We find and treat the root causes of chronic physical and mental health conditions, together, in one practice.

The medical system was designed to split you into parts.

You see a doctor for your body. A different doctor for your mind. Neither one talks to the other. Neither one asks about your stress, your gut, your hormones, your trauma, your nutrition — as a connected whole. When the medication doesn't work or the symptoms keep coming back, the system tells you to see another specialist.

We built Twin Village Health because we believe that's a design flaw, not a standard of care.

Your anxiety might start in your gut. Inflammation, dysbiosis, and nutrient deficiencies directly affect your brain. Most psychiatrists never check.
Your fatigue isn't "just depression." It could be thyroid dysfunction, adrenal imbalance, or insulin resistance — all of which look like a mental health problem until someone runs the right labs.
Your chronic illness takes a toll on your mind. Living with pain, autoimmunity, or hormonal chaos affects mood, cognition, and motivation. Treating only the body misses half the picture.
Chronic stress rewires your biology. Racism, poverty, trauma, caregiving — these aren't just "social factors." They change your cortisol, your metabolism, your immune system, and your gut. We treat the downstream effects that other doctors can't explain.

The conditions that don't fit neatly into one specialty.

We specialize in the overlapping, treatment-resistant, "I've-seen-five-doctors-and-no-one-can-figure-it-out" presentations. The ones where physical and mental health are entangled — because they almost always are.

Whole-person medicine. Not a buzzword — a practice model.

Most practices that call themselves "integrative" mean they added supplements to a conventional model. We mean something structurally different: a Family Medicine Physician and a Psychiatrist who share patients, share a framework, and treat mind and body as one system.

Root Cause Medicine

We don't suppress symptoms and call it treatment. We investigate why they're there — running advanced labs, assessing gut function, hormonal balance, nutrient status, inflammatory markers, and chronic stress physiology — then build a plan that addresses the source.

Mind-Body Integration

Your care team includes both a Family Medicine doctor and a Psychiatrist under one roof. We coordinate in real time. No referral loops, no waiting three months for a psych appointment, no hoping two doctors will eventually communicate.

Conventional + Functional

We don't ask you to choose between evidence-based medicine and integrative approaches. We use both — pharmaceuticals when they're the right tool, nutritional therapy and lifestyle interventions when they are, and often both together.

Therapist Partnership

Already working with a therapist? Good. We partner with your existing mental health team, providing medication management, lab insights, and nutritional and lifestyle tools that build on your therapy — not replace it.

No Controlled Substances

We specialize in non-stimulant, non-addictive treatments for ADHD, anxiety, insomnia, and more. We work with you whether or not you're receiving controlled substances from other providers. Our focus is root-cause resolution, not dependency management.

Direct Access

No insurance gatekeepers. No fifteen-minute visits. As a direct membership practice, we spend real time with you, answer your messages between visits, and build relationships that make better medicine possible.

From first call to care plan in four steps.

Free Connection Call

A complimentary 15-minute call to understand your needs, answer your questions, and make sure we're the right fit. No pressure, no sales pitch — just a conversation.

Choose Your Membership

Enroll in your Twin Village Health membership — one plan that gives you access to both physicians. You can view membership details here.

Deep-Dive First Visit

Your first appointment is a 60-minute whole-person consultation. We explore your full health history — physical, mental, environmental, nutritional — and start connecting the dots across body systems. This is more than an intake. It's the beginning of a real clinical relationship.

Advanced Lab Testing + Care Plan

We run our Twin Village lab panels — advanced metabolic, hormonal, inflammatory, and nutrient markers that standard physicals miss. When results are in, we meet to walk through everything in plain language and co-create your personalized treatment plan: nutrition, supplements, lifestyle changes, medication when appropriate, and a clear roadmap forward.

Ongoing Care

Follow-up visits to track progress and adjust your plan. Between appointments, you have unlimited secure messaging with your physician for questions, prescription management, and guidance. You're never navigating this alone.

Twin sisters. Two specialties. One practice.

We didn't meet at a conference and decide to collaborate. We grew up together, trained together, and built this practice on a shared conviction: that the divide between physical and mental health care is the single biggest failure of modern medicine. We're here to fix it — one patient at a time.

What you need to know.

What is integrative medicine?
Integrative medicine combines the best of conventional, evidence-based medical care with approaches like nutritional therapy, advanced functional lab testing, lifestyle interventions, plant-based medicine, and mind-body techniques. Instead of asking "what drug matches this symptom," we ask "what is driving this symptom" — and then use the full range of tools available to address it at the root.
Do you accept insurance?
We don't work with insurance companies directly. As a direct membership practice, this allows us to spend real time with patients, order the testing we believe is clinically necessary, and practice medicine without insurance-imposed limitations. We can provide an itemized bill that may allow you to get partial reimbursement from your insurance company.
Can I reach you between visits?
Yes. All membership plans include unlimited secure messaging with your physician. You can expect a response within 24-48 hours. If your question is complex, we may ask you to schedule a follow-up visit so we can fully address your concern.
Can you help me reduce or stop psychiatric medications?
Yes. We help patients who want to stop medications, reduce their dose, or simplify their regimen — specifically in a safe, evidence-based manner that minimizes side effects and withdrawal. This is one of the most common reasons people come to us.
Do you prescribe controlled substances?
No. We specialize in non-stimulant, non-addictive treatments for ADHD, anxiety, insomnia, and more. We will work with you whether or not you are receiving controlled substances from other providers.
I already have a therapist. Can we still work together?
Absolutely. We partner with your existing mental health team to provide medication management, lab insights, and nutritional and lifestyle tools that complement your therapy work. We don't replace your therapist — we give them a medical partner.
